There are many reasons why government should ban betting if we look at from the other perspectives. Most times, government always want to protect the interest of the citizens by involving in something like banning of betting.

The following may be the reasons why government involves in banning betting: there is always ripple effects of betting on the society. The people that involves in betting always involve in some atrocities that have bad effects on the society.

This scenario is highly probable, but I for one, think that the government should be more open to betting and gambling activities. The instance you have described stems from an irrational love of money, which will always emerge, regardless of betting centres or not.

Casino websites gives taxes to government I don't think I see any reason to why government should ban betting although gambling goes against religious beliefs so that might be the main cause.

But the reality it is half islamic countries, some other countries doesn't ban gambling like others are banning, even musulmans countries. Even send SMS to win a prize is a form of gambling.

There are some Islamic countries that are not strict. Some states in the United Arab Emirates like Dubai always to some extent allow their ciitizens to be free. Though there may be areas there where betting may not be allowed.

You do raise a good point, but this only applies to quite influential people who live in affluent places in Dubai, unfortunately. For the large majority of the public who are less financially stable, this is haram.

Most governments either do it due to culture and pressure from society sona do it to protect their generation and mostly the steps taken for such things are good and they need to be appreciated always indeed actuallly in my opinion .
