Why do people gamble despite seeing others make loss ?

There are some things that amazes me most times ,like I do wonder why people still partake or particpate in gambling , because for the fact that they are seeing others make loss , they are supposed to quit ,but they still partake and particpate , this actually makes me wonder why people run such , obviously the motive og just making more money could be the reason

People believe that gambling is a game of luck and they can as well try their luck as well. It is just like people still traveling despite seeing others getting involved in accident on a daily basis

This is because people believe that they can make a fortune from gambling, and that an absence of luck caused that person to lose. They presume that luck is invariably on their side, which is a fallacy in itself
