Why gambling is a trap?

There was a time I was listening to a lecture on the effect of bamboo around the youth. Some of the things the person said seems to be well known. But the person later went on to say that gambling is a trap.

One of the questions I want to ask you guys over here is that Why gambling is a trap? I'll be glad if anyone here can tell me his or her opinion about this question in the comment section below.

I am not sure if gambling is a. trap and even if it's a trap ,the person that said such thing should actually give his reason ,he can't say that it's a trap without giving any reason on why he made. such statement

I think the major reason why people see gambling as a trap is because they find it hard to stop gambling once they begin to gamble.
It is always hard to back off. It is not something easy.

Exactly that's the main reason ,they see that they can't be able to stop it ,then they would actually consider it as a trap ,if they could really stop it they would not have said such thing in the first place
