When Hibernians play against Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic, they have a difficult challenge ahead of them. Despite being massively behind their opponents by 28 points, Hibs still had dreams of playing in Europe the following year. They trail Aberdeen, who is in third position, by just two points. In the opposite way, they are comfortably eight points above the play-off spot for relegation. The Scottish Premiership season has gotten off to an exciting start for Hibs. Despite twice having the lead against the second-placed Rangers, they lost 3-2. Then came a convincing 4-0 home victory over Livingston. In between 33rd and 50th minutes, they scored all of their goals.
