We all know that lying is one of the bad characters and it is very essential for every one of us to desist from it. Some of the guys I have over here are gamblers and they are chronic liars.

Another question I have in mind to ask you guys is that Are gamblers compulsive liars? I'll be very grateful if anyone of you can let me know your experience under this post and the comment section thanks in advance.

No, I do not align with this misconception that people who gamble have a habit of lying and being fraudulent. Some people who gamble are honest to the core, and are genuinely good people.

Although most times there are compulsive gambler that are actually not liars ,there are still some that are good people ,most times gambling doesn't have to do with your attitude and others many needs to know this

This is why the sensitization of gambling for members of the public needs to be intensified in order to demystify the misconception that gamblers are unruly individuals and cannot contribute meaningfully to society

This doesn't even sound cool why would anyone attach another bad trait to another distinct trait. I don't think there's sny connection between a gambler and a liar
These are two different traits so it isn't true.

It is strange that people have this misconception, but it is not surprising. Large swathes of the public will paint gamblers in a bad light by any means necessary, including accusations of behaviours which are not in their nature

Yeah I don't know maybe it is how the gambling activity looks. you know people just believe it is for really bad people almost like criminals. So they are bound to attribute very weird traits to the people playing the games.

They try to paint them as villainous individuals, and generalize every gambler as being a bad nut in society. It is quite disturbing, I must say and that negative perception needs to be changed

I think all of these come from how they view the activities that come with gambling. you look around though a lot of gamblers are the youths that are kind of jobless so you can see where the judgement comes. But I still insist that it is an individual thing to be bad.

You are absolutely right. People tend to label individuals at the casino as delinquents and irresponsible, and this irks me quite a bit, I must say. I do not think that you can generalize a group with that much confidence

Gambling disorder can have a devastating impact on people's lives. It can lead to financial ruin, relationship problems, and legal trouble. It can also lead to mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.

This is just a prejudice. Not all gamblers do lie. Though there are many reasons why gamblers can be lying. Most of them to conceal their lifestyles as others will do as well. Unfortunately, most people lie as well even non gamblers.

I perfectly understand that gambling are çhronic liars especially to family and friends because they want to lie and cover up their gambling acts and ways especially when they goof. Instead if being judgemental, the best thing to do is to render help and support to them

I don't know if gambling can make you a compulsive liar. I really don't see how those two connect. I think compulsive lying is just a character flaw on the perpetrator. Gambling cannot change your character, it is just an activity where you can control yourself and remain with the characters you have.
