Deceased Bellagio grandstand worker accidentally sawed off his own neck

The cause of death for an ironworker is revealed in grisly new detail in the police report. While constructing a grandstand in front of the Bellagio for the upcoming Formula 1 Las Vegas Grandstand, the 27-year-old passed away on September 23. On the north side of the Bellagio fountains, he was cutting through wood at ground level with an electric circular saw. The razor-sharp saw flew out of his hands and into his neck when he accidentally hit some metal.

The victim suffered a deep laceration that was oozing blood when several witnesses tried to apply pressure to it, but the bleeding couldn't be stopped, and the victim passed out. No pulse could be felt at that point, so his colleagues tried chest compressions until an ambulance arrived.

This unfortunate event acts as a heartfelt reminder of the significance of safety measures and training in dangerous work areas. It is a thought-provoking illustration of how rapidly a workplace mishap can escalate into a potentially lethal circumstance, and it emphasizes the requirement for attentiveness and readiness for emergency response in similar situations.
