Worker killed while building Bellagio grandstand for F1 Grand Prix

In preparation for the inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will be held Nov. 16–18, a construction worker has passed away.

The Bellagio fountains on the Las Vegas Strip were the scene of a major laceration to the neck that a man sustained on Saturday morning, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. A grandstand for VIP race viewing is now being constructed by MGM Resorts International in Bellagio Lake, where the fountains are situated.
