Hong Kong police close down illegal gambling establishment with 130 arrested

130 persons were taken into custody by Hong Kong police between November 2 and December 2, after they were allegedly involved in illicit gambling and money laundering. According to the report, which used police data made public on Sunday, those engaged in the illegal activity were able to launder about $1.92 million.

More than 120 persons were arrested by police, who claimed they were connected to five illegal gaming establishments and an illegal gas station. Two of the illegal venues featured gambling machines with fishing games, and one offered baccarat. Mahjong games were available at two other illegal venues.
