Thailand parliament approves establishment of casinos

With the Ministry of Finance given a 30-day deadline to respond with next steps, the Cabinet of Thailand is supporting a National Assembly committee study regarding the country's potential for adding regulated casino resorts.

The Thai House of Representatives voted in favor of the idea of entertainment districts, which would include casino hotels, in late March. The decision was made after the cabinet's weekly meeting.

By 2027, the nation of Southeast Asia hopes to draw in 80 million foreign tourists yearly. For that reason, integrated resorts might be essential.
